Addiction starts with an overcorrection in the brain

New research studies and researchers say that Addiction is like any other brain disease which can be treated. When the brain secretes large amount of Dopamine (DA) it leads to oxidative stress and the brain responds by generating a protein BDNF. This suppresses the normal production of DA. When one comes down from a high, lack of DA causes pain, distress and anxiety of withdrawal.

Our body tries to produce the natural amount of DA but some other pathological process occurs which doesn’t allow the normal amount of DA to be secreted.
